Chantel McGregor
Blues Rock Aberdeen is delighted to bring the hugely talented CHANTEL MCGREGOR to the Granite City. She first picked up a guitar aged 3 and was playing in local bands aged 12, influenced by her parents love of music, especially Free, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac. She then attended Leeds College of Music and achieved numerous awards. In the last 6 years Chantel has won various British Blues Awards, including: Young artist of the year, Best female vocalist and Guitarist of the year.
Chantel released her debut album “Like No Other” on her own independent record label in 2011. Her stunning version of Robin Trower’s ‘Daydream’ is still a highlight of her current live set. Her 2nd album ‘Lose Control’ was released in 2015 and saw Chantel record songs with a contemporary rock sound whilst embracing her love of the blues. Her 3rd album is being written and some songs are being showcased on the current 2017 tour.
