The Martini Encounter

The Martini Encounter is a fun filled, alcohol infused cabaret that follows three fabulously flamboyant characters through tales of their demise, pastiche musical comedy and lots and lots of gin.

Broadwayworld.com described this show as – “a must-see cacophony of cocktails and repertoire” and with a name like “The Martini Encounter” its safe to say that the show is boozy by name and boozy by nature.

THE MARTINI ENCOUNTER in Who Shot Wayne Sleep

‘Naughty…hugely enjoyable…in perfect harmony’ The Times

A cacophony of song, ukuleles, murder and gin

Enter the jaded and threadbare world of Binkie, Maud and Colin. Never refined but always eccentric, this naughty and flamboyant trio celebrate their former ‘careers’ in what could very loosely be described as ‘showbiz’.

Basking in a glorious, deluded and surprising cocktail of mischievous repartee and banging toons and vocal harmony, they take us from Basingstoke to Basildon and Crawley to Cromer by way of Talking Heads and Queen to Blur and Scissor Sisters via Bonnie Tyler, with Binkie and Maud on their ukuleles and accompanied by failed Magician The Amazing Colin on the pianoforte.

Following sensationally squiffy appearances at the Edinburgh, Glastonbury and Latitude Festivals, this witty and wicked trio now embark upon their first of many farewell tours with their musical assault upon the nation.

Absolutely hilarious **** London Theatre1.com

A cabaret act with a twist, Who Shot Wayne Sleep is a show packed with wit, insanity, naughtiness and a dash of sparkle…Completely hilarious…super slick; wonderful musicians and excellent vocalists…brilliant writing…The Martini Encounter offers good theatre but an even better night out.
