Acclaimed for his revelatory Beethoven, Sir Roger Norrington directs the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart in what promises to be sizzling performances of three works written in the first decade of the 19th century. The exuberant Overture belongs to Beethoven’s only full length ballet score, while the symphonic
proportions of the Third Piano Concerto anticipate the epic scale of the Eroica – a work that changed symphonic music for all time.
